About this role

The Occupational Therapist - Alpine will identify, assess, treat and supervise the treatment of patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, psychological and social dysfunction.

What you bring to the table

Education:

  • Master’s degree or greater in occupational therapy.

Experience:

  • Experience in an acute care or psychiatric hospital is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid registered license to practice occupational therapy.

Compliance:

  • Aligned with System of Care, supporting services that are: evidence-based, community-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally and linguistically competent.

What you will do

  • Conduct patient assessments and assess environments of clients to make necessary adjustments
  • Conduct physical and psychological assessments.
  • Development of treatment plans, in conjunction with the treatment teams and medical staff, to address areas of dysfunction, including self-care, self-neglect.
  • Supervision of the implementation of treatment plans.
  • Provision of individual and group treatment, both on and off the units. 
  • Work with Program Director to develop the daily / weekly program and activity calendar
  • Work with Clinical Team as part of multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skill and educate staff on patient care.
  • Evaluate results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
