Make a Difference as a Certified Medication Technician!
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about patient care? As a Certified Medication Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring safe and accurate medication administration, all within the scope of your certification. Working under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse, you’ll be an essential part of a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to supporting the well-being of individuals served.
Your commitment to excellence will help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for those in your care.
Medication Administration
Perform medication administration responsibilities while adhering to all safety principles and recognizing the six (6) rights of medication administration.
Infection Control
Adhere to proper infection control techniques, including universal precautions, during the medication administration process.
Documentation
Document the administration of medication on the Medication Administration Record (MAR), including reasons for medications not administered.
Adverse Reaction Reporting
Report any adverse individual served medication reactions immediately to a supervisor.
Medication Management and Audits
Reorder and replace medications and supplies as needed and participate in data collection, medication audits, and performance improvement activities related to medication administration.
