How you make a difference

The Regional Director of Operations MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) Justice Involved

provides leadership, vision, and oversight for the development, implementation, and supervision of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services within the assigned area. This role ensures alignment with the corporate mission on patient care, overseeing staff adherence and managing daily operations, patient care, and regulatory reporting. Additionally, the Director oversees Regional MAT Clinical Specialists and handles other duties as assigned by management.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate MAT services across facilities, collaborating with medical providers, nursing, mental health professionals, psychiatry, and security staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Oversee the implementation of MAT policies, program design, and service expansion, including directing staffing, program development, and clinical supervision for site-level staff.
  • Develop and implement training and development programs for medical and behavioral health staff, ensuring protocols for assessment, monitoring, and medication are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, including monitoring contracts, managing corrective action plans, and representing corporate interests with facility administrators.
  • Act as a community liaison, attending events to educate and establish connections, while providing oversight to sub-contracted agencies and serving on relevant committees and task forces.



Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing with a current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which employed. 
  • Or minimum of independent licensure with a master’s degree in public health from an accredited college or university.
  • Other substance abuse certification or MAT experience preferred.

Experience

  • Five plus years of related experience.
  • Experience in the coordination and administration of behavioral health or medical service delivery systems as well as knowledge and/or interest in the provision of integrated behavioral health/medical programming within a multidisciplinary framework.
  • Professional experience in the behavioral health or medical field that indicates knowledge of management and supervision techniques, peer review, data collection and quality assurance.
  • Experience successfully navigating a correctional healthcare setting in which there are multiple stakeholders and needs to consider while maintaining the patient’s needs as the primary focus.
  • Experience training a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience working with patient experiencing withdrawal from drugs and alcohol.
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team and holding members accountable for performance.
  • Experience completing CQI and performance measure studies and implementing interventions as needed.
  • Grant writing or experience working with grants, preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Related certification may be applicable based on specific state requirements
